Gianna Nannini marks 50 years since her debut with new album
Gianna Nannini presented GiannaGold in Milan on November 3, marking 50 years since her debut.
The double CD and triple LP contains 29 tracks, including three new songs and ten hits rearranged with the London Symphony Orchestra.
One of the new songs, “Ricominciassimo,” was written with Gazzelle, while a new version of “America” features Marracash.
Nannini said her continued curiosity has kept her from feeling “rusty,” and described the album as a beginning rather than an endpoint.
She also said she had taught her daughter not to be afraid, because she believes fear can lead to violence.
