Al Pacino to receive SAG-AFTRA Life Achievement Award

SAG-AFTRA has named Al Pacino its 62nd Life Achievement Award recipient for his career as an actor.

The 86-year-old New Yorker is best known for playing Michael Corleone in “The Godfather” films, and his work spans film, television and stage.

His breakthrough came with “The Godfather” in 1972, after he had been known mainly for stage work.

The honor recognizes his acting and humanitarian work, including charitable support for disaster relief, hunger relief and local theater.

He is due to accept it in Los Angeles on February 28, 2027, at the 33rd annual Actor Awards, which will stream live on Netflix.
