Power outage disrupts ITV’s daytime shows in Covent Garden

A power outage disrupted ITV’s daytime schedule on Wednesday, 4 November, leaving three programmes unable to air live.

The outage affected the wider area around ITV’s Covent Garden studio in London.

The affected shows were Lorraine, hosted by Lorraine Kelly, This Morning and Loose Women.

Good Morning Britain was extended to fill Lorraine’s slot, while This Morning was replaced by a highlights episode.

The disruption was caused by a local power cut, rather than a change to the programmes themselves.

ITV said it would return to its normal schedule as soon as possible, and Kelly said Lorraine was due back on Thursday at 9.30am.

I'm on my way to work, but there's been a little bit of a hoo-ha. There's a power outage at the studio so my show won’t be on today.

So This Morning will still be on as well, just maybe a little bit later.
