Police search for suspects after vehicle hit by projectile in Beauport

A vehicle was reportedly hit by a projectile in the parking lot of a Super C supermarket in Beauport, Quebec City, on Sunday afternoon.

The Quebec City police service set up a security perimeter and confined customers and staff inside the store while officers searched the area.

A nearby SAQ liquor store was evacuated, and some other businesses temporarily confined people inside.

No one was injured, and police did not say what kind of projectile was involved.

Customers were allowed out at about 4 p.m., while the security perimeter was lifted around 5:45 p.m.

Police are still looking for one or more suspects and gathered information from people at nearby stores.
