Klopp to name a 23-player Germany squad for November Nations League games

Germany coach Jürgen Klopp will name a 23-player squad on November 5 for the national team’s next Nations League matches.

He and his coaching staff are watching club games to assess players before making their choices.

Klopp plans to attend Freiburg’s match at Leverkusen and a Champions League game involving Bayern Munich and Arsenal, while his assistants will scout other fixtures.

The new squad will be much smaller than his first 44-player group, so some players called up in September will miss out.

Germany plays Serbia away on November 13 and hosts the Netherlands in Berlin on November 16.

Germany needs strong results to stay among the top two in its Nations League group, according to the reports.

The squad announcement is the next step before those two matches.
