Australia name new-look squads for England white-ball series

Australia named new-look ODI and T20 squads for their home series against England, with Mitchell Marsh captaining both teams.

The selections include emerging players, while wicketkeepers Sam Harper and Lachlan Shaw could make their international debuts.

Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood are rested after playing in the Test series against South Africa, as Australia manage their workload ahead of upcoming Tests.

The teams will play three ODIs from November 13 to 18, followed by five T20 internationals, ending on December 2.

The matches give players a chance to press their case for the 2027 ODI World Cup, which will be hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia.

Several established Test players are in the ODI squad but will not play in the T20 series.

Australia’s busy schedule continues with Tests against New Zealand and a five-Test tour of India.
