Two brothers injured in 10-metre fall after balcony railing breaks

On Friday, October 30, two brothers fell about 10 metres from a balcony in Bagnères-de-Luchon, in France’s Haute-Garonne department.

They were working on the balcony when its railing broke, though the exact work they were doing has not been specified.

The older brother, aged 27, suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital in Toulouse in critical condition.

His 25-year-old brother was less seriously injured and taken to a local hospital.

An investigation has been opened to establish what caused the railing to give way.

Authorities have not yet commented on the cause.
