Stallone’s 1993 thriller Cliffhanger arrives on Netflix

Cliffhanger began streaming on Netflix on November 1.

The 1993 film stars Sylvester Stallone as a mountain-rescue expert drawn into a search for money after a plane heist goes wrong.

Criminals lure him and his former partner into the mountains with a fake distress call.

The film was directed by Renny Harlin and became a major box-office hit, earning $255 million worldwide against a $70 million budget.

Its return to streaming gives the 1990s thriller a new audience as a remake is on the horizon.

The story does not give details about the remake or when it will be released.
