Turkey targets $450 billion in goods and services exports by 2029
Trade Minister Ömer Bolat set a $450 billion export target for 2029 at a conference in Istanbul.
The target covers both goods and services exports.
Bolat said annualised goods exports reached $283.7 billion in September 2026, a record for Turkey.
Goods exports rose 5.2% in the first nine months of 2026 compared with the same period a year earlier, reaching $211 billion.
Services exports were $124.9 billion in 2025, while the share of medium-high and high-technology goods in manufacturing exports rose to 43.5%.
The government says it will support exporters' access to finance, encourage higher-value production and seek new markets through trade agreements and diplomacy.
These efforts are intended to expand Turkey's export capacity as global protectionism and uncertainty increase.
