Simpar returns to profit with R$137 million in third-quarter earnings
Simpar reported adjusted profit of R$137 million in the third quarter of 2026, after a loss in the same period last year.
The Brazilian holding company includes businesses such as Movida, JSL and Vamos.
Its gross revenue rose 4.6% from a year earlier to R$12.7 billion, while Ebitda increased 19.9% to R$3.5 billion.
Net debt was 2.7 times Ebitda, down from a year earlier and the lowest level since the company’s 2010 IPO.
Simpar had R$14.5 billion in consolidated cash, and its holding-company cash was enough to cover financial maturities until mid-2031.
The results exclude the sale of CS Porto Aratu, a deal announced at R$1.8 billion in enterprise value that still depends on approval from Brazil’s competition authority.
Simpar reported adjusted net income of R$137 million from continuing operations in the third quarter of 2026.
The result reversed a loss of R$128.6 million in the same quarter a year earlier.
Net revenue from services rose 5.8% year over year to R$9.5 billion, while EBITDA increased 19.9% to R$3.5 billion.
Net debt-to-EBITDA fell to 2.7 times, its lowest level since the company’s 2010 initial public offering.
The reported results do not include the closing of the sale of CS Porto Aratu.

What people are saying
We are in a phase of planning after building scale. The focus is on extracting value.
When we talk about it here, we will see that revenue grows, but EBITDA and margin grow more. That is extracting value from what we have already built.
We do not need interest rates to fall. We just have to work to bring our portfolio into balance with macroeconomic conditions.
