Driver flees Hildesheim crash that left four people lightly injured

A three-car crash happened at a Hildesheim intersection on Friday afternoon, 30 October.

A 26-year-old driver’s Seat hit a car ahead, pushing it into a Skoda waiting at a red light.

The driver of the middle car then reversed into the Seat and left the scene.

The Seat driver, his 17-year-old passenger, the 67-year-old Skoda driver and his 65-year-old passenger were all lightly injured.

The fleeing car’s front licence plate left an imprint on the Skoda, but police say the plate did not match the described car.

Witnesses described it as grey or silver, possibly an estate car, and police are asking people to report sightings, including cars damaged at both ends.

The investigation is continuing, and police are seeking witnesses and information to identify the driver.
