Recruit suspends Carsensor services after detecting suspicious access

Recruit suspended all services linked to Carsensor on October 17 after detecting suspicious external access to related systems.

Carsensor is a major Japanese used-car listing service, and its listings covered about 520,000 vehicles as of September 2026.

The suspension includes the website and app, as well as C-match, a service dealers use to manage their work.

Car shoppers cannot search listings or contact dealers through Carsensor while the services are down.

Recruit said it is investigating the cause and the extent of any impact to protect customers and business partners.

The services will restart when Recruit has a clearer outlook, and the company said it would announce that timing; some dealers are directing customers to their own websites, phone lines or the Goo-net listing site.
