9 UCLA beat Michigan State 28-10 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena on Saturday.

The win gave the Bruins a 7-0 start for the first time since 2005.

UCLA’s defense forced three turnovers and four sacks, helping the team recover after two first-half fumbles.

Michigan State took an early lead, but linebacker Donavyn Pellot intercepted a pass after one fumble and set up UCLA’s go-ahead score.

UCLA then pulled away with a 63-yard touchdown pass and two more rushing scores.

The Spartans, now 2-6, were without key players including their top two quarterbacks and running backs, and have lost six straight.

Michigan State has a bye week to rest and recover, while UCLA could move up in the top 10 before its next game, according to ESPN.
