TIW26 Opens in Türkiye With a Focus on People in the AI Era
Türkiye’s exporters’ body opened TIW26 in Istanbul, with support from the Trade Ministry.
The three-day event brings together business leaders, scientists, entrepreneurs and young people under the theme “Humanity 6.0.”
Its central question is how people should guide the AI era, as artificial intelligence spreads across production and trade.
The event will discuss trust in AI, how companies are organised and new rules for industrial competition.
Türkiye wants to join the world’s top 10 exporting countries, and its exporters’ leader says innovation, research and higher technology are key to that goal.
High- and medium-high-tech exports reached $112 billion last year, more than doubling over the past decade, while 65% of young people aged 16 to 24 use generative AI, compared with 14% of companies.
Over the event’s three days, participants will discuss these changes and the future skills and businesses they may bring.
TIW26 opened at the Haliç Congress Center in Türkiye under the theme “Humanity 6.0 — The New Era of Humanity.”
The three-day event, organized by the Türkiye Exporters Assembly with support from the Trade Ministry, brings together business leaders, scientists, entrepreneurs and young people.
Speakers said the event would examine artificial intelligence, human-centered change, trust and the changing organization of companies.
Assembly President Mustafa Gültepe said young people could help address companies’ shortage of AI expertise.
