Agrinas proposes two possible payday dates for contracted village cooperative managers

PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara says contracted village cooperative managers will be paid, even if their cooperative outlets are not fully operating.

The managers work for the Merah Putih Village/Urban Village Cooperatives, a government-backed program in Indonesia.

Agrinas chief executive Joao Angelo De Sousa Mota proposed the 26th or the 1st as possible payday dates, but no final date was stated.

The Cooperatives Ministry said 26,991 managers had signed contracts, while 159 declined and 1,550 faced administrative delays.

Monthly pay is set at Rp 6.8 million to Rp 9.3 million, varying by local minimum wage and including a general allowance.

The government has prepared funding for October through December pay, which will pass from the Finance Ministry to the Cooperatives Ministry, then Agrinas, before reaching the managers.
