Michael Douglas says Catherine Zeta-Jones asked him to stop dating other women when they began seeing each other.

He recalled the conversation on The Graham Norton Show on Friday, October 30.

They met in France in 1998, after Douglas had separated from his first wife and was dating women in different cities.

Douglas says he ended five relationships after Zeta-Jones made clear she wanted an exclusive commitment.

The couple married in New York in 2000 and have two children together.

His new memoir revisits their relationship, including their brief separation in 2013 and reconciliation the following year.

Douglas has said humor and talking things through help sustain their marriage.
