BYD ranks seventh among Italy’s car brands in October
BYD registered 6,058 vehicles in Italy in October, giving it 4.5% of the market and seventh place among car brands.
The Chinese automaker has stayed in Italy’s top 10 for six months in a row and remained the country’s leading Chinese brand.
Its share of new-energy vehicles, which include fully electric and plug-in hybrid cars, was 24.3%, the highest among European markets where BYD operates.
BYD also led Italy’s plug-in hybrid segment with a 31.8% share, while taking second place in fully electric cars with 12.4%.
It registered 4,937 plug-in hybrids in October, more than eight times the number in the same month of 2025.
The Seal U was BYD’s best-selling model in Italy that month, and the Seal U and Atto 2 were the two top-selling new-energy models.
BYD recorded 6,058 vehicle registrations in Italy in October, taking seventh place among car brands with a 4.5% market share.
The company remained in Italy’s top 10 for the sixth consecutive month and was the leading Chinese brand in the country.
In the first ten months of 2026, BYD registered about 48,000 vehicles, with a 3.4% market share.
BYD held a 24.3% share of Italy’s new-energy vehicle market, which includes electric and plug-in hybrid cars.
