Conad recalls a Piacersi egg-white batch over Salmonella risk

Conad has recalled a batch of Piacersi egg white from its supermarkets in Italy over a possible Salmonella risk.

The recall covers 500-gram packs marked with batch K657113 and an expiry date of 29 October 2026.

The concern followed checks that found Salmonella in the product.

Customers are advised not to consume the affected batch.

They can return it to the Conad store where they bought it for a replacement or refund.

Conad says cooking, as directed on the label, helps inactivate the microorganism.
