Tecatito Corona returns to Mexico squad for Jamaica tie; Henry Martín left out
Rafael Márquez recalled Jesús “Tecatito” Corona to Mexico’s 28-player squad for November’s Nations League matches.
The 33-year-old Monterrey captain last played for Mexico in June 2022.
Mexico will face Jamaica over two legs in the Nations League quarter-finals, starting in Kingston on November 14, with the return match three days later at Monterrey’s Estadio BBVA.
Márquez has gone four games without a win since becoming Mexico’s coach, and the team scored only twice in its previous four matches.
Henry Martín was left out despite scoring 10 goals for Club América in the Apertura 2026 season.
Mexico needs an aggregate win to advance to the Nations League Final Four and reach the Gold Cup group stage.
Mexico is the defending champion of both competitions, which are scheduled for March to July 2027.
