Arla recalls three decorated cream cheese rings over possible insect contamination

Arla Foods is recalling three cream cheese rings sold in Germany under the Milsani, Viking and Castello brands.

The concern is a possible insect infestation in an almond topping supplied to the manufacturer and used to decorate the products.

The affected items are Milsani Ananas-Papaya Ring with use-by dates of 25 or 30 November 2026, Viking Ananas-Mandel Ring dated 30 November 2026, and Castello Ananas & Mandel Frischkäse Ring dated 16 December 2026; all carry the code DK M277 EU.

They were sold through retailers including Aldi Süd, Norma, Edeka and Rewe.

Arla says the products pose no health risk, but customers should not eat the affected products.

The company has arranged for them to be removed from sale, and customers can discard them or return them to the shop.

Other products from the brands and cream cheese rings with different decorations are not affected.
