Seiko launches two panda-inspired chronographs in India
Seiko has launched two panda-inspired watches in India after their global debut.
The HHK001P1 uses black and white, while the HHK002P1 has a pink dial and strap meant to reference a newborn panda.
Both cost ₹58,000 and are listed on Seiko’s official India website.
Their design uses the sub-dials as panda eyes, places the nose and mouth at the 6 o’clock marker, and shapes the hands like bamboo leaves.
A custom scale, called the SASAMETER, is designed to indicate a speed of 30 km/h over two minutes, reflecting the article’s description of a panda’s theoretical maximum running speed.
Both models use Seiko’s quartz chronograph movement and have a 43mm stainless steel case, a three-year battery life and 3 bar water resistance.
The watches are now listed for sale in India, and the source gives no further launch plans.
