Father dies after being stabbed by son in Kayseri

A father died after his son stabbed him at their home in Kayseri, in central Turkey.

The two were identified as Süleyman D. and his son, A.D. They argued for an unknown reason, and the argument turned into a fight.

Police and medical teams were called to the home in the Melikgazi district, where responders found that Süleyman D. had died.

His body was taken for an autopsy at the Kayseri Forensic Medicine Institute.

A.D. was taken to hospital for treatment after reportedly trying to take his own life by swallowing many pills; police accompanied him.
