Nexon to Take Over Blue Archive Publishing in Japan in January 2027
Nexon will take over publishing Blue Archive in Japan from Yostar around January 2027.
Blue Archive is a role-playing game developed by South Korea’s Nexon Games, while Yostar has published it in Japan since its launch.
The change follows discussions between the companies and is intended to bring development, operations and the game’s intellectual property under a more unified Nexon group structure.
Players’ accounts, items and in-game currency can be carried over, but players will need to complete an account transfer process.
Nexon and Yostar plan to publish a video discussion and open a page explaining the transfer process in November 2026.
A maintenance period is planned for January 2027 as the publisher changes, though the specific date has not been announced.
