Police raid illegal tramadol and Hexymer factory in Bandung

Police raided two illegal drug-making sites in Bandung, Indonesia, and arrested five people.

The sites produced tramadol and Hexymer, medicines that police described as restricted drugs.

The investigation began when officers stopped a suspect on the Purbaleunyi toll road with 600,000 Hexymer pills headed for Jakarta.

At the warehouses, police seized hundreds of thousands of ready-to-sell pills, ingredients and production equipment.

Police said the machines could make up to 8 million pills a day, and the products were intended for West Java and markets such as Jakarta.

The five suspects allegedly had different roles, including buying, mixing and arranging deliveries.

Police are now investigating the supply of ingredients and the distribution network.
