Four Cars Burn in Tebet Parking Lot, No Injuries Reported

A fire burned four cars at TIS Square in Tebet, South Jakarta, on Wednesday.

Fire officials said the blaze apparently began in a BMW and spread to three nearby cars in the parking area.

The suspected cause was an electrical short circuit, but officials said the cause remained under investigation.

Firefighters sent six fire engines and 28 personnel to the scene and finished cooling the area by 4:15 p.m.

No one was reported hurt or killed in the fire.

Traffic congestion around Pancoran also delayed buses on TransJakarta’s Corridor 9 and several routes.

TransJakarta advised passengers to check its X account for service updates.

Could be (a short circuit). Still under investigation. Because it was in a parking lot, the cars were not running.
