Tropical butterfly garden opens at COP31 site in Antalya

Türkiye is preparing to host the COP31 climate summit in Antalya from November 9 to 20.

A tropical butterfly garden has been installed in the summit’s 527,000-square-metre Blue Zone, where climate negotiations will take place.

The garden covers 2,600 square metres and contains 20,000 butterflies from 10 species.

Selçuklu Municipality set it up to give visitors a nature-focused experience.

The garden will also explain the butterflies’ role in nature and the environments where they live.

Nearly 100,000 visitors are expected at the Blue Zone, alongside country delegations, as summit preparations near completion.
