Broncos give Blake Mozer permission to negotiate with other clubs

The Brisbane Broncos have allowed Blake Mozer to seek another club despite his contract running through the end of 2027.

Mozer is a 22-year-old hooker, also called a dummy-half, who was once compared to rugby league great Cameron Smith.

Injuries and strong competition for the position at Brisbane have limited him to 16 NRL games since his 2023 debut.

The Broncos have retained other hookers and have Ben Hunt set to join their rotation in 2027, leaving Mozer with few chances.

A move could give him more playing time, while clubs looking for a hooker may see potential in the young player despite his injury record.

The Bulldogs, Sea Eagles, Rabbitohs and Panthers are mentioned as possible destinations, but no club has been confirmed as having begun talks.

Mozer is free to negotiate now, and a move could happen before or during the 2027 season.
