Pomanjou tried over death of 23-year-old forklift driver
Loris Charot, a 23-year-old forklift driver, died at work on 21 September 2023 at a site in Écouflant, near Angers in western France.
His employer, Pomanjou, went on trial for involuntary manslaughter on 16 October 2026.
The court examined the circumstances of the accident and alleged failures in workplace safety and management.
Pomanjou is in judicial liquidation, which may complicate compensation and any further administrative proceedings.
The company moved its site to Verrières-en-Anjou in 2024.
Charot’s family is seeking answers about what caused his death and who was responsible.
The case has renewed attention on accident prevention and working conditions in logistics workplaces.
