Saudi Arabia says it intercepted missile near Medina as Houthis deny attack

Saudi Arabia said it intercepted a missile targeting the region around Medina on Thursday.

Medina is a holy city in Saudi Arabia.

Yemen’s Houthis denied carrying out an attack shortly after Riyadh announced the interception.

The accounts do not say who launched the missile.

The claims leave responsibility disputed between Saudi Arabia and the Houthis.

No further response or next step was described.
