Uber expands ChatGPT Work to its global workforce
Uber is expanding its partnership with OpenAI by giving its ChatGPT Work tool to about 30,000 employees worldwide.
The company first tested the tool with 1,000 employees across different departments earlier this year.
ChatGPT Work is an AI tool designed for business teams to use in their daily tasks.
During the test, employees used it to analyze operational data, adapt training materials for different markets and build dashboards.
Most early users were not engineers, showing that the tool was used beyond technical teams.
Uber has not said how much the rollout will cost or settled on exactly how staff should use the tool.
The company will track how employees use it and assess the results to help guide future AI deployments.
Uber is expanding its use of ChatGPT Work to its entire global workforce, about 30,000 employees.
The company said it had piloted the tool with 1,000 employees earlier this year before scaling it up.
The pilot included staff from departments such as finance, operations and product, and about 80% of early adopters were non-engineers.
Uber said teams will be able to experiment with the tool, while the company tracks how employees use it and whether it helps them work more effectively.
ChatGPT Work connects to Google Drive, Gmail, Google Calendar and Slack, according to Tech in Asia.
