Police seek 44-year-old after alleged knife attack in Uetze

Police in Uetze, near Hannover, are searching for a 44-year-old man suspected of a knife attack in mid-September.

He allegedly attacked his former partner’s new partner, a 30-year-old man, in her home.

The woman and the injured man, with help from a neighbour, managed to disarm and hold the suspect until police arrived.

Police initially detained him but later released him; investigators say they learned in the following days that he may have expressed a deliberate intent to kill.

When officers tried to arrest him again, he had disappeared, and police are now seeking help to find him.
