Mexico’s Community Cultures Festival will take place at the Zócalo in Mexico City on Saturday, Nov.

Its story centers on migration, peace and hope, and draws on the tale of the opossum and fire.

The script was built from stories created by children in Indigenous communities, and the festival aims to showcase their artistic work and cultural traditions.

The performance is free and starts at 5:30 p.m.

Participants are preparing at an arts camp in Morelos, scheduled to run through Nov.
