OL Lyonnes beats Marseille 5-0 to extend unbeaten run

OL Lyonnes beat Olympique de Marseille 5-0 in the French women’s top league on Saturday.

The match was played at Lyon’s Groupama Stadium.

The defeat ended Marseille’s unbeaten start to the season, after both teams had entered the match without a league loss.

Lyon had gone 55 league matches without defeat before this game, with five draws in that run.

Melchie Dumornay and Ada Hegerberg each scored twice as Lyon dominated despite making several changes.

Lyon has won all six league matches and sits at the top of the table.

The team is due to face Inter Milan in the Champions League on Wednesday.
