Police Advance Betrand Peto Sexual Violence Case to Investigation

Police Advance Betrand Peto Sexual Violence Case to Investigation

Police in Jakarta have advanced the case involving Betrand Peto to a formal investigation after finding indications of a criminal offence.

The case began when a 26-year-old woman, identified as ANW, reported alleged sexual violence and physical assault on September 12, 2026.

She said the incident happened at a nightclub in the SCBD area of South Jakarta.

The allegations have not been established as fact, and the change in case status does not determine guilt.

Investigators have questioned ANW, witnesses and Peto, and secured evidence including medical examination results, CCTV footage, injury documentation and social media messages.

Police will decide the next legal status based on their findings and the evidence available.
