Sánchez brings Begoña Gómez into PSOE’s campaign message

Pedro Sánchez kissed his wife, Begoña Gómez, at a PSOE rally in Fuenlabrada, near Madrid, on Saturday.

He told her that attacks had made them stronger and said, “I love you.”

The rally came as the PSOE prepares for elections on 29 November, and Sánchez used the moment to urge supporters to mobilise.

Gómez is awaiting trial over alleged influence-peddling and misuse of public funds, charges she denies.

The PP posted an AI-made image showing Sánchez kissing former minister José Luis Ábalos, while the PSOE used the original photo in a campaign slogan.

Justice Minister Félix Bolaños responded with a post contrasting the kiss with a photo of PP leader Alberto Núñez Feijóo.

The exchange turned a personal moment into a political campaign message as the parties compete for voters.
