Euronext proposes David Knibbe as CEO from May 2027
Euronext has proposed David Knibbe as its next CEO from May 2027.
He is currently chief executive of NN Group, an insurer listed on Euronext.
Knibbe would replace Stéphane Boujnah, who has decided not to continue in the role after leading the group since 2019.
His appointment is planned for the company’s shareholder meeting on 20 May 2027.
The appointment still needs regulatory and shareholder approval; one source also says Dutch finance ministry approval is required.
Euronext operates stock exchanges in eight European countries and says it wants to connect Europe’s capital markets more closely.
Knibbe is expected to lead its next phase of growth and integration, drawing on his experience in regulated businesses and business transformation.
