63 firms seek Brazil's crypto services licences by deadline
Sixty-three companies applied for Brazilian crypto licences by the deadline on Friday, including Bitget, B3, Kraken, several banks and other crypto firms.
They want approval from Brazil's central bank to provide regulated virtual-asset services.
The applications came as the deadline closed, and the list also includes companies such as Coinbase, Binance and Nubank.
Firms that missed the deadline cannot operate with crypto-assets in Brazil, and applicants whose licences are rejected face the same restriction.
To qualify, companies must meet requirements including minimum capital, separation of customer assets and measures to prevent money laundering.
The application tracker cited in the story showed three cases scheduled for a decision, two under examination and two awaiting documents or responses.
The central bank will assess applications against its requirements, while the other applications remain at different stages of the process.

Filing the application within the deadline reflects something the group carries from the Philippines and extends to the countries where we expand: growing within the regulated system.
