Anthony Edwards’ New Adidas Ad Mocks Drake and Kevin Durant’s Nike Commercial

An Adidas ad starring Hasan Minhaj takes a dig at Drake in an ongoing sneaker rivalry involving NBA star Anthony Edwards.

Minhaj’s character says Drake is facing fear of missing out and is buried in lawsuits, without explaining the lawsuit reference.

The jab responds to a Nike commercial released in June featuring Kevin Durant and Drake, which promoted Durant’s KD 19 sneakers.

Drake mocked Edwards’ signature shoes in that commercial, joking that only four children in Minnesota wanted them.

Earlier this month, Edwards answered with a PrizePicks ad that parodied the Nike commercial and featured a box of his sneakers.

The ads turn competition between the players’ sneaker lines into public back-and-forth, with the brands and celebrities using jokes to promote shoes.

Whether Drake responds in a future song remains unclear.
