Jesse Klaver returns as PRO’s uncontested leader as party tops polls

Jesse Klaver is once again the uncontested leader of the left-wing party PRO.

The party is leading in opinion polls under his leadership.

Klaver was once known as the “Jessias,” but has returned to the top against expectations.

Political reporter Hanneke Keultjes has followed him for 12 years.

She describes how he has repeatedly reinvented himself.

The account presents him as a political survivor who has adapted over time.

It does not say what happens next for Klaver or PRO.
