Ubisoft to Cut 70 Jobs at Skull and Bones Studio and Close RedLynx

Ubisoft will cut 70 jobs at its Singapore studio, which develops the pirate game Skull and Bones.

The company will also close Finnish studio RedLynx, putting up to 52 jobs at risk.

RedLynx is known for the Trials bike games and had been part of Ubisoft since 2011.

It became a support studio after Trials Rising launched in 2019.

The cuts come as Ubisoft reorganizes to reduce costs and focus on fewer games.

Ubisoft said its Singapore studio will remain an important part of its global production organization.

The changes add to recent studio closures, job losses and game cancellations at the company.
