Devlin’s late double gives Portsmouth 3-1 win over Swansea

Portsmouth beat Swansea City 3-1 at Fratton Park in the Championship, England’s second-tier football league.

Terry Devlin had put Portsmouth ahead before Zan Vipotnik equalised from a penalty five minutes from time.

Swansea then missed a chance to take the lead when Ross Stewart hit the crossbar.

Devlin scored again in added time, and Tommy Waddingham added a third for Portsmouth.

The defeat dropped Swansea to fourth, outside the automatic promotion places, while Portsmouth climbed to 10th.

Portsmouth extended their unbeaten run to six games and are just outside the play-off places on goal difference.

Middlesbrough stayed top and were due to play on Wednesday.
