Reviewers praise Apple's iPhone Duo but flag price, cameras and screen

Apple's first foldable phone, the iPhone Duo, has received mostly positive early reviews from technology reviewers.

It opens like a book to reveal a 7.6-inch inner screen, while a smaller 5.4-inch display sits on the outside.

Reviewers praised the smooth hinge and screen transition, and one test found no noticeable deterioration after more than 32,000 folds.

But the price is more than $2,000, putting it beyond the budgets of some buyers.

Critics also noted that it lacks a telephoto camera and Face ID, and that video on the inner screen can look less crisp than on the iPhone 18 Pro.

The phone's trade-offs reflect an early-generation device, and the reviews suggest there is room for Apple to improve future models.
