Russians can apply to switch mobile operators through Gosuslugi
People in Russia can apply to change mobile operators through Gosuslugi while keeping their phone numbers.
They can start in their account under Profile, in the SIM Cards section, and follow the instructions.
The application is sent to the independent operator of the transferred-number database, which checks whether the transfer conditions are met.
Beeline, MegaFon, MTS and T2 are among the operators connected to the service, along with others in the database.
If the request passes the check, the new operator contacts the user to agree on a tariff and how to sign the contract.
The agreement can be signed in a shop or remotely with an electronic signature, after which the new operator provides a SIM card with the transferred number.
Existing ways to apply through an operator’s website or office remain available.
