Multi-vehicle crash causes delays on A29 near Barendrecht

A crash involving several vehicles, including a truck, happened on the A29 near Barendrecht on Tuesday morning.

It occurred shortly before 8 a.m., just north of the Heinenoord Tunnel.

Two lanes were closed, causing heavy traffic between Barendrecht and the Haringvliet Bridge.

Traffic was also backed up on the N217 from Oud-Beijerland and Puttershoek, but that road has since reopened.

It is not known whether anyone was injured.

The crash caused delays for people travelling through the area, and the sources give no further information about the response or when the A29 lanes would reopen.
