Real Madrid leads Barcelona in revenue and profits
Real Madrid and Barcelona meet this Sunday at Spotify Camp Nou, where the stadium is still being renovated.
Both clubs recorded more than €1 billion in revenue in the 2025/26 season, a first for them in the same season.
Real Madrid reported €1,221.3 million in operating revenue, compared with Barcelona’s €1,000.9 million.
Madrid also posted €26.3 million in after-tax profit, while Barcelona reported a loss of €17.8 million, partly linked to one-off operations.
Madrid’s stronger financial results extend to its stadium: the Bernabéu is nearly finished and brings in more than twice as much as before its renovation.
Barcelona’s current stadium has 62,652 seats, about 42,000 fewer than planned when the project is complete.
The comparison shows how the clubs differ financially as well as on the pitch, though their accounting methods are not fully comparable.
