Shaheen Afridi removes Tom Banton as England lose early wicket in Lahore

Pakistan chose to bowl first against England in a tri-series one-day international in Lahore on Sunday.

Shaheen Afridi dismissed opener Tom Banton for four, caught at cover by Arafat Minhas.

England were 4-1 after the first over, with Joe Root coming in to bat.

England had lost both of their earlier matches in the series, including an 87-run defeat to Pakistan.

A third straight loss would leave Harry Brook’s side on the brink of elimination.

Henry Crocombe is making his one-day international debut for England, while Pakistan have recalled Shadab Khan and selected debutant Razaullah.

A win would send Pakistan into the final with a match still to play.

It's a new surface. Every day is a different day so we just like to focus on our good things and continue that. I hope our players play a big role again. We need to play our best cricket.

It looks like a good wicket. We were going to have a bat so we are pretty pleased with the toss. I'm fit and raring go. We know what the conditions present. We know we have to be more consistent bowling at the top of the stumps.

Character wise this is a big game. Here in Lahore it is going to be packed out, flat pitch and England are a bit in the doldrums. It is a big game to make your debut for Henry Crocombe.
