The 25-year-old outside hitter plays for the Japanese club in the SV League Growth, a lower division of the SV League.

Morigaki asked for the announcement before the season so he could share his final campaign with supporters.

He said he grew up following his older brother, Takuma, into volleyball and later played on the same team as him.

He thanked teammates, coaches, family and fans for helping him continue in the sport.
