Claim That Pertalite Rose to Rp13,000 per Liter Is False

A poster shared on social media claimed Indonesia raised Pertalite to Rp13,000 per liter from Rp10,000, effective September 26, 2026.

The claim featured Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia, but the government had not raised Pertalite's price as of October 2026.

Pertamina said on June 10 that the price remained Rp10,000 per liter, and its October 1 update said fuel prices were unchanged from September.

Pertalite is a government-designated fuel supplied at a uniform price across Indonesia, with the government covering the difference between that price and the economic cost.

The September price rises applied instead to non-subsidized fuels, including Pertamax Turbo, Dexlite and Pertamina Dex.

Pertalite remained Rp10,000 per liter in the latest price information cited, through October 26.

The information available gives no further change or next step.
