Trade Analysts Predict Rs 100 Crore Opening for Ramayana

Trade Analysts Predict Rs 100 Crore Opening for Ramayana

Ramayana: Rise Of A Legend is due in cinemas worldwide on November 5.

The two-part adaptation stars Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash, and its estimated budget is about Rs 4,000 crore.

Trade analyst Ramesh Bala predicts an India opening-day total of Rs 100–150 crore, while another exhibitor says it could pass Rs 100 crore.

The film has reportedly taken in more than Rs 50 crore in Indian advance bookings, but its presales were behind Yash’s previous release, Toxic: A Fairy Tale For Grown-Ups.

Its opening will test whether anticipation turns into ticket sales, after its visual effects, casting and early reviews drew mixed reactions.

The film is planned for release in six languages across 59,000 screens worldwide.

Its performance will show whether it can meet expectations for a record-setting Indian film, but no box-office result is available yet.
