GM adds Apple Wallet car keys to nine Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC models
GM is adding Apple Wallet car keys to nine vehicle models from Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC.
The rollout began in September 2026 with selected Cadillac models, and more vehicles are scheduled to receive support in December.
The feature lets drivers use a compatible iPhone or Apple Watch instead of a physical key fob.
Supported vehicles can unlock as drivers approach and lock when they walk away, and the Wallet app can also open the trunk and control the climate system.
The feature relies on Bluetooth and ultra-wideband technology for proximity-based authentication.
GM says drivers will get an app notification when their vehicle is ready, and they can then follow the app’s setup steps.
GM says support will reach additional vehicles over time.
